“I am reaching out after several failed attempts at reaching someone at this hotel who could help me. I originally booked my stay with this hotel, specifically because of the pet policy as I intended to travel with 2 dogs. The booking website specifies "Pets allowed. Non-refundable fee of $50 for each pet per stay." On Monday 05/09/2022, more than 72 hours before my stay, I called to confirm this pet policy. At this time only, I became aware that the policy documented on the booking website was misleading and incorrect. Although the statements “Pets allowed” and “each pet” imply otherwise, I was informed that in fact a maximum of 1 pet is allowed. I first asked if there were any alternative options, such as transferring my reservation to another Marriott property that could accommodate me, but was told by the Marriott representative that my only option was to cancel my reservation. Given no other choice, I accepted this circumstance and agreed to cancel (cancellation #53678224) upon learning this new information. Given the circumstances, I did not expect to be charged for the full amount of this stay which never occurred. And despite being a long-time Marriott customer for both personal and business travel, I have been unable to even speak to anyone to discuss flexibility regarding the refund policy, which is a reasonable request considering the timing and the error on the website. I am hopeful that someone at Marriott can quickly correct the poor experience I have received so far.”

“The location is pretty good. There is entertainment and food just outside the hotel, and Times Square is 5 blocks away. A big bus station is also very close. Regarding the hotel, the staff is very nice and they offer free beverages at the lounge at any times, which is really appreciated. There are also 3 computers available and free wifi all over the hotel, though the signal could be better. The rooms are pretty nice, they even have a full-serviced kitchen and a really big shower. The shower could use some more pressure though, I could barely wash off my shampoo. The main downside are the elevators. There are 3 elevators for the 40 floor building, which are busy all the time. It's not just the wait that is frustrating, but also the fact that sometimes the elevator will just skip your floor for unknown reasons. The wait can easily take over 5-15 minutes, so it's not rare to see people going down the stairs from the 30rd floor because they're in a hurry. Also, the breakfast buffet is really limited in its offer (no meat, no eggs), and the restaurant area is very small. Every morning you could see people eating breakfast at the lobby sofas or even standing because there is simply no more tables.”
