Hotel spa porta Maris in Alicante is a true paradise! Its perfect location and stunning room with sea view will make your stay unforgettable. The exceptional hospitality of the receptionists, along with the sumptuous buffet breakfast organized by their amazing staff, will rival any five-star resort experience. Meanwhile, the modern and impeccably clean facilities at its luxurious basement spa are enough incentive to guarantee another visit soon - this hotel comes highly recommended from us!

Good location, rooms and building in fair condition. Our room was spacious with balcony. Ground floor cafe has great sea view. Reason for 3 stars only: 1, Upon checking they wrote credit card and personal details on paper. 2, Please note spa is not included in the “Hotel Spa Porta Maris by Meliá” hotel, but it is an additional service, charging €25 per head extra. This was not mentioned before reservation. 3, Check out is at 12, but unknown male!!opened the door at 11:30am while we were still in bed. Never had this in another hotel before, would not return.

We enjoy our stay during our visit in Alicante. The hotel is located in a great location right on the ocean. We had a nice balcony with a great view of the bay overlooking the sail boats and ships. We were in walking distance to many restaurants, bars, shopping, Casino and sightseeing. As well as a Tram stop close by and a walking deck on the Pier. We were located on the 2nd floor. The room was quiet and peaceful. The comfort of the bed was very good. We had a great night sleep every night. The room was very large in comparison to most European hotel rooms. We stopped at the pool and spa which looked very refreshing, but due to our sightseeing and late evening schedule we were not able to enjoy it. The escalator was broken throughout our entire stay. However they have an elevator nearby that added additional wait time. The staff was pleasant and friendly and overall, we had a great experience during our stay in Alicante.

Amazing views, a lovely spa and friendly staff. The rooms were small though. The pool is small and there’s a little outside area; it’s not too busy later in the afternoon. Food in the restaurant was good. Breakfast buffet was lovely - very fresh.

Rooms are well appointed. Went for a sea view which is more expensive but well worth it,having said that the sun never hit our balcony. Generally it was a lovely hotel. Rooms have fab comfortable beds and air conditioning, very well serviced everyday The food however was in a word “shocking”. Ate there 2 nights and left most of it after us. My husband is a chef but these were the worst meal we had in Alicante. Our mistake for eating there twice. V disappointing for 4 * hotel. Also not enough sun beds by the pool. You don’t expect to be scouting for sun-beds in a Spa Hotel. I would expect sufficient Sun-beds for everyone when paying for 4*.
