“The service was amazing. The room was spotless. The food was fantastic. There is no other hotel in Madrid that I would recommend. They made our stay extra special for us. We had harrowing travels trying to get to Spain and after 5 minutes in their hotel, they made everything absolutely perfect. Thank you!”

I would give the Palacio de los Duques Gran Meliá 6 stars if that were possible. A great room with excellent facilities and absolutely outstanding service. As a frequent traveller who mainly uses 5 star hotels I have international comparisons and this hotel is definitely in the top 1%.
The service is of such a high standard that it is hard to match. Personal approach, friendly reception, extremely well-informed concierge, maximally helpful room service (!) (!!) - all superlative.
I have rarely felt so welcome in a hotel as I did in this one.
